Marsala Addiction

As already mentioned in one of my first posts (Berry Hues) I’m absolutely fond of burgundy shades for years. The slightly lighter sister-colour Marsala has more of an earthier touch…but to be honest I don’t see much of a difference between the red shades burgundy, Marsala, wine, dark red and maroon. I just really hope that this trend and its overexposure doesn’t ruin it for me. In this look I am wearing H&M from head to toe. I discovered the lace shirt and crepe-like top only recently and absolutely love them. A squarish cut can sometimes be a little too heavy or massive (not in terms of weight, but more in terms of appearance), but as H&M used transparent lace for the shirt it really has a nice light texture. The warm, rich red colour goes perfectly with dark colours like black (as shown in this look). Since Marsala instantly reminds me of Moroccan patterns and colour schemes, I can imagine that it matches nicely with warm earth tones and nudes as well. This outfit actually celebrates a personal premiere, as I have never worn a floppy hat like this before. Don’t get me wrong, I have always liked it on other people who can pull it off in such a cool and effortless way. However, I always thought a hat would look funny on me (which some might say it does), but when I ordered it just for the sake of trying, I was positively surprised. I for one like my floppy hat and that’s enough for me! What’s your opinion on floppy hats?
