This is the last look I shot in Paris and of course I didn’t miss the chance to take photos in front of the Eiffel Tower – one of the iconic symbols that immediately come to mind when thinking of this beautiful city.
I bought this Gerard Darel coat a while ago, but it was simply too cold to wear it then. During our stay in Paris we had one incredibly beautiful and sunny day, which was also the first one this year that really felt like spring. So I used the opportunity for this coat’s premiere and combined this ecru piece with a khaki-coloured jumpsuit. As the flared pants are quite long, wearing high heeled shoes is a must. I choose my sling-back pumps from Tory Burch, which have a black leather tip with a tiny bow, followed by a woven textile part with brown and golden threads.
The wide cut of the coat and the texture of the material (it’s very soft, but slightly heavy and thus holds it shape perfectly) make this coat very interesting and in my opinion quite elegant. However, you can also create a casual look if you pair it with jeans – just like Jessica Alba did (here). I love it if pieces are so versatile that you can wear it on multiple occasions.
Fun fact: After I had ordered the coat online and waited for the parcel to arrive, I stumbled upon a post from Kristina Bazan on Kayture.com where she was wearing the exact same coat (find her post here). Wasn’t such a bad choice then, was it?
